Info for All-Breed Dog Show
For those NEW to the sport of dogs and wish to show their dog(s), which are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), following is a brief summary.
Q: Who collects dog entries?
A: Each club contracts with either an AKC approved Superintendent or Event Secretary who handle pre-entries.
Q: What do I need to know about entering my dog in the show?
A: Each AKC club prepares a "Premium List" outlining among other information, judging classes, name of judges, and an entry form at the end. Entries can be done via US Mail OR online at Infodog.com.
Q: Is there an entry deadline?
A: Yes, please see Premium List for details.
Q: How do I know when my breed is scheduled to be judged on the day?
A: Once entries close and information is processed, we will post a judging schedule around May 30.
Q: Are there other activities for dogs who may or may not be a recognized AKC breed.
A: Yes, the Doggie Fun Zone and Rookie Agility (no pre-registration), new in 2015 is a Barn Hunt competition, and with certain restrictions including being pre-registered competition in Obedience and Rally Obedience.
Q: How can I learn more about dog shows.

The Greenwich Kennel Club (GKC) is one of the oldest and highly respected all-breed dog clubs in the tri-state area of Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. Today, this well-established dog show is one of the largest outdoor shows in the New England area that draws some 175 breeds and over 2,200 dog entries who are accompanied by their knowledgeable breeders and owners. This highly specialized group attracts a broad-based audience comprised of both current and future pet owners to the show.
GKC is looking for business and individuals who want to reach this prime target market through ads placed in its 250-page, 2-day-weekend Event Catalog, which provides a detailed show schedule, breeder and owner directory, and a special center section set aside for advertiser from the pet health care and services industry. This catalog will be retained and used year-round by canine enthusiasts as a handy reference guide.

If you advertised in our 2014 catalog, we thank you, and the ad can easily be repeated this year. Or you can provide a new high resolution ad or take advantage of our in-house design services. Ad copy, high resolution photos and payment must be received by April 16, 2015 via snail mail and/or email to the address below.
